Hoi An Full Moon Festival
Every 14th of the lunar calendar Hoi An celebrates the Full Moon Festival. During this festival the Old Town will be closed for traffic and lit-up by colourful lanterns, creating a romantic atmosphere which reminds of Hoi An’s golden age of centuries ago. Traditional music, dance and games will entertain all the visitors of the festival who will also be invited to join in the traditional custom of putting a floating candle on the river.

Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.
